Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney for its McAllen, Texas office. The role requires a Texas bar license and at least five years of civil litigation defense experience, with on-site work five days a week.

The attorney will handle a broad range of civil matters including personal injury, premises liability, construction, transportation, business litigation, and insurance defense, coordinating with clients and carriers as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of civil litigation defense experience.
• Active Texas Bar license.
• Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Experience handling depositions, mediations, and motion practice.
• Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Insurance defense experience preferred; trial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Prepare case analyses, litigation plans, and status reports for clients and insurance carriers.
• Develop and implement case strategy and prepare cases for trial.
