POSITION SUMMARY

In this Senior Assistant role, you will support the Senior Vice President of Advancement Services in all aspects of their role, including supporting their direct reports as needed. Your responsibilities will include assisting in planning and coordinating presentations, reports, and training sessions. You will manage ongoing department request workflows and critical project management documents, ensuring timely and professional delivery to senior university and foundation staff, as well as board members where appropriate. You will serve as a key customer service liaison for end-user training, managing data confidentiality agreements for volunteers and staff, and Requests for Service (RFS).

The Senior Assistant must maintain tact, professionalism, customer service focus, and uphold data protection and confidentiality standards of the UConn Foundation.

In this role, you will:

  • Schedule meetings and proactively manage the SVP's calendar, including coordinating travel and gathering meeting materials.
  • Manage stock transaction processes accurately and timely, working closely with Finance and Pledge & Gift Management departments.
  • Oversee volunteer confidentiality agreements and collaborate with IT and Cybersecurity teams on vendor security reviews.
  • Draft presentations and reports, and manage contracts related to vendor agreements.
  • Handle the RFS queue, review outstanding items, confirm delivery dates, and alert the SVP of potential issues.
  • Act as a liaison for project planning, attending key meetings and maintaining project documentation.
  • Manage department expenses, including Requests for Disbursements, and track budgets monthly.
  • Coordinate and schedule end-user training sessions, serving as a liaison among stakeholders.
  • Prepare agendas for Advancement Services meetings and coordinate their execution.
  • Model and uphold the Foundation's core organizational values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Collaborate with Foundation and university stakeholders on requests, training, and cross-departmental meetings.

Leadership

Demonstrate leadership by engaging in organization-wide activities, including meetings and staff events.

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years in an executive administrative or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor management systems.

Salary:

The expected salary is $70,000+ commensurate with experience and qualifications, emphasizing internal equity.
