The Senior Assistant Solicitor for Affirmative & Complex Litigation is a newly established position responsible for developing the County's affirmative litigation program, handling affirmative and defensive trials and appeals in both state and federal courts. The role involves working on cases with novel legal issues, constitutional concerns, and public policy reforms, often collaborating with the Office of District Attorney on matters like consumer protection and public safety. The position also entails providing proactive legal advice, prelitigation counseling, and developing innovative litigation strategies to advance the County’s interests.
