Job summary

Catalogue seeks an Assistant Controller to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls across multiple locations. This hands-on leadership role partners with the Corporate Controller and guides the accounting team to ensure accurate, timely reporting and compliance with GAAP.

The role requires 5+ years in restaurant/multi-entity accounting, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and strong Excel/Restaurant365/Toast proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 5+ years of progressive restaurant/multi-entity accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and restaurant industry accounting practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Restaurant365, Toast POS and other accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Leadership or mentoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting for multiple locations and entities.
• Manage month-end close and bank reconciliations for 25+ accounts.
• Lead audits with external firm and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Design and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Mentor accounting staff and train on systems like R365 and Toast.
• Collaborate with restaurant management for timely reporting.
