Job summary

GreenState Credit Union in Clive, IA seeks a Senior Asset Recovery Specialist to manage delinquent accounts, analyze loss mitigation options, and coordinate repossession, foreclosure, and charge-off processes. In-office role, you will interact with members, coworkers, and vendors to maximize recoveries and mitigate losses.

You’ll perform skip-tracing, document activity, create monthly loss-mitigation reports, and support the collections team under supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years collection experience.
• Ability to complete full analysis of loans to decide repossession, foreclosure, charge off or recovery.
• Working knowledge of legal principles, practices, terminology and research techniques.
• Punctuality, regular hours, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to interact with coworkers to develop positive working relationships in all Credit Union services.
• Knowledge of lien positions and perfections.
• Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to core values and service standards.
• Maintains confidentiality of member information.
• Performs daily delinquency reviews and follow-ups.
• Contacts co-makers, co-borrowers and guarantors.
• Conducts skip-tracing to locate members and assets.
• Underwrites loss mitigation reviews and coordinates with Legal for filings.
• Prepares and submits required information for short sale, abandonment, and settlement requests.
• Represents the credit union in litigation and coordinates with vendors.
