Senior Asset Manager
Position Summary: As a member of the Asset Management Team, this position offers the opportunity for a self-starter with considerable real estate analytical and quantitative experience to work with a diverse group of people in a highly collaborative environment. This person should possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail in financial modeling, analysis, forecasting, and reporting. The Senior Asset Manager will lead the execution of value-add strategies of an assigned multifamily real estate portfolio. The overall responsibility is to maximize asset values through execution of the business plans and capital transaction opportunities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Proactively review property operations and financials to identify areas for improvement and formulate strategies to drive performance.
- Analyze value-add strategy performance to proforma/budget and market and offer pivot recommendations as needed to improve performance.
- Review construction completion and interior remodel returns on investment to optimize outcomes.
- Prepare reforecasts, cash flow modeling, and other analyses to understand performance to plan.
- Review and approve annual operating and capital expenditure budgets.
- Oversee property-level distributions.
- Develop and manage investor and lender relationships.
- Complete hold/sell/refinance analyses and present outcomes of various scenarios.
- Prepare and present Investment Committee packages for capital transactions. Take ownership of capital transactions (refinance, supplemental, disposition) through corporate workflow.
- Understand organizational structure and monitor compliance to business terms of loan documents, operating agreements and management agreements.
- Confirm transaction accounting aligns with closing documentation.
- Prepare and present Ownership Reporting including financial, operational, and construction performance compared to plan as necessary.
- Special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate or related field.
- 5+ years of real estate related experience (with multifamily assets preferred, not required).
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
- Advanced knowledge of standard accounting practices and procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Robust motivation to learn and work with a diverse group of people in a highly collaborative environment.
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- Multifamily asset management and/or acquisition underwriting experience.
- Yardi experience.
Work Schedule: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday, or as needed to meet business needs.
