Overview

• The role involves leading teams during fundraising processes for real estate funds and advising clients on the formation, structuring, and management of open-end and closed-end real estate fund products, including co-investment vehicles and other real estate investment products.
• Represent real estate fund sponsors and investors in transactions, negotiations, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate fund offering documents, partnership agreements, side letters, and co-investment vehicle documents.
• Conduct legal research, analyze regulatory requirements, and monitor changes in laws affecting real estate funds and related products, identifying and resolving related legal issues.
• Coordinate with clients, investors, and service providers to facilitate fund closings, prepare/review disclosure documents and investor communications, and support due diligence for real estate acquisitions and investments.
• Supervise junior team members and help partners maintain existing client relationships, collaborating with colleagues across tax, real estate, finance, and regulatory practices.
• Responsibly and ethically use AI technologies to enhance legal research and document review.
