Role Summary
The Senior Assembly Technician works under the direction of the Head of US Operations – Heven West, following work instructions and procedures to assemble, test, and troubleshoot electromechanical systems, assemblies, and components. The role includes setting up, operating, and maintaining production equipment, completing required production documentation, and training and supporting new technicians. Focus is on hands-on manufacturing, production-level assembly, quality control, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, integrate, and test electromechanical systems, including electrical components, mechanical parts, and wiring, interpreting blueprints, technical diagrams, procedures, and work instructions.
- Operate production and test equipment, troubleshoot issues with products, parts, tools, or equipment, performing maintenance or rework as defined.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes, and drive company vehicles and trailers as required.
- Complete production work orders, checklists, test reports, and other production documentation accurately.
- Provide mentorship and technical support to other technicians; develop and deliver training for new technicians.
- Foster effective communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Enhance production processes to increase efficiency and quality; collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality and technical issues.
- Uphold industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines in all activities.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience as an electromechanical technician, assembler, or in a similar hands-on technical role.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with experience in precision assembly and component fitting.
- Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems in a production environment.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for operational excellence.
- Advanced interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and coworkers.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues to drive projects to successful completion in a team environment.
- Ability to quickly understand and apply new concepts in evolving environments.
- Meticulous and thorough in completing work tasks, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to specifications.
- Efficient time management to meet production deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills for inventory management, manufacturing software, or entering production data.
- Clean driving record and ability to drive with a trailer, passing a Commercial Driver Fitness Determination.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience assembling and testing complex mechanical products.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Forklift or crane certification if the role requires operating heavy machinery.
- OSHA or similar workplace safety certification.
- Associate’s degree in manufacturing technology, mechanical engineering, industrial technology, or a related field.
Physical Requirements
- Perform hands-on assembly work for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Use hands and fingers to handle and manipulate small components and tools requiring fine motor skills and precision.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely and effectively.
- Operate or be trained to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Safely operate company vehicles and trailers, including loading and securing loads.
- Visual acuity sufficient to read technical documents, blueprints, and computer screens, and inspect components for quality and accuracy.
- Work in a manufacturing environment that may include moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, and varying temperatures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear.
- Maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment while performing repetitive tasks.

Salary Range: $27 – $35 USD per hour.
