Job summary

CSI Laboratories, a Fulgent Genetics Company, seeks an Assay Development Technologist to lead cross-functional assay development from concept to product launch. You will design automated, high-throughput genetic tests and drive data-driven decision-making with the Molecular Director and senior management.

You will initiate projects, evaluate feasibility, generate results, and optimize existing workflows, while training team members and ensuring regulatory alignment with CLIA/CAP/NY standards.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor's Degree with extensive experience in assay development.
• Experience with human genetics and molecular biology techniques.
• Prior experience with laboratory regulations (CLIA, CAP, NYS) highly preferred.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, and prioritize tasks.
• MB or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop fully automated, high-throughput genetic tests from concept through commercial launch.
• Initiate study projects and investigate the feasibility of potential projects.
• Generate and interpret study results through molecular biology principles and analytical techniques.
• Collaborate with Molecular Director and Senior Management on assay development and decision-making.
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing assays in collaboration with the molecular department.
