Job summary

CSI Laboratories, a Fulgent Genetics Company, is seeking an Assay Development Technologist to lead design and implementation of automated genetic assays from concept to launch. You will collaborate with the Molecular Director and cross-functional teams to drive assay development and data-driven decisions.

The role emphasizes developing new tests, optimizing existing workflows, and ensuring compliance with CLIA/CAP standards while maintaining a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor’s Degree with extensive experience in assay development.
• Experience with human genetics and molecular biology techniques.
• Prior experience with laboratory regulations (CLIA, CAP, NYS) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop fully automated, high-throughput genetic tests from concept through commercial launch.
• Lead research and development by designing new or optimizing existing molecular assays.
• Validate and implement assays into established workflows.
• Author validation plans, SOPs, and related documents.
• Train team members and act as SME to cross-functional teams.
