Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. in Palm City, FL is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead the asphalt qc program and ensure products meet DOT and customer specifications.

The role leads QC technicians, maintains testing records, analyzes data for improvements, and works with management on process enhancements. A civil engineering or construction mgmt degree and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of asphalt quality control experience.
• Must hold Asphalt Paving Level 2 and Asphalt Plant Level 2 certifications.
• Knowledge of industry standards and testing procedures for asphalt products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet changing priorities.
• Flexible to work days, nights, including 3rd shift and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control operations and ensure asphalt products meet standards and customer specs.
• Supervise and train QC technicians; conduct performance evaluations and promote quality awareness.
• Maintain records of QC testing and prepare management reports.
• Oversee testing of road construction materials and equipment to ensure compliance.
• Ensure lab activities comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze test data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with management to address quality issues and implement process improvements.
• Develop and update QC training programs for staff.
