Job summary

Wiregrass Construction is seeking Experienced Asphalt Crew Members to join our construction team in Birmingham. You will perform duties related to asphalt projects, including operating skid steers, pavers, and rollers, and performing manual tasks like raking and shoveling.

You will ensure safe, efficient completion of projects, follow foreman instructions, and maintain equipment. This role requires physical work outdoors and adherence to site procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in asphalt construction is essential.
• High safety awareness and teamwork are required.
• Ability to understand work directions and communicate with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sites by cleaning and removing hazards.
• Use hand tools to move gravel, dirt, and materials.
• Assist equipment operators with signaling and alignment of machinery.
• Load, unload, and identify materials per plans or specifications.
• Maintain production and follow safety procedures.
• Report equipment issues to the department lead.
