Job summary

Capital Materials in Columbia, MO is seeking a Senior Asphalt/Concrete Quality Control Technician to lead QC efforts in our Columbia area labs and field operations. You will supervise inspections, perform asphalt and aggregate tests, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

• 5 years of QC experience in asphalt/construction.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides verbal and/or written test results and reports to the QC Manager and staff.
• Enforce quality control and company safety policies on all aspects of the work.
• Cut core samples from roadway and test in a timely manner.
• Conduct tests on aggregate and asphalt.
• Perform mathematical calculations to verify physical and volumetric properties.
• Record test results in a timely manner.
• Report and communicate test results to DOT and other customers as required.
• Inspect stockpiles for proper construction; inspect haul units for cleanliness.
• Maintain test data files; assist in investigating and resolving customer technical problems.
