The University of Rochester seeks a skilled Deaf Professional Interpreter to support Deaf Prof Interpreter Svc-DPIS at 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY. Minimum education is an Associate's degree with RID membership required upon hire; BEI or RID certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience interpreting in a health care setting preferred.
• Registry Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Membership upon hire required.
• BEI Certification or RID Certification upon hire preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides required interpretation at scheduled times or upon emergency request.
• Receives assignment of appointments and may schedule appointments for provision of interpretation.
• Maintains required records.
• Other duties as assigned.
