Job summary

Fortinet is seeking a Staff Verification Engineer in the United States to design and own ASIC driver verification frameworks and automation across our product line. You will lead verification strategy, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust validation.

With 8–12 years of relevant experience, you will leverage Ruby/Python to build scalable tooling, drive test coverage, and resolve complex cross-layer issues in software, drivers, and hardware.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8–12 years of software development or verification engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Ruby and Python with automation framework development.
• Strong TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewalls understanding.
• Deep Linux knowledge, test environments, and debugging skills.
• Mentoring experience and ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain verification frameworks and automation tools for ASIC drivers and software features.
• Build test environments, test suites, and verification infrastructure for validation.
• Drive verification strategy, planning, coverage analysis, and closure.
• Root-cause analysis across software, driver, and hardware layers.
• Lead code reviews, promote best practices, and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and ASIC teams to close gaps and validate fixes.
• Develop tools to generate network traffic and measure performance and reliability.
• Represent verification authority for ASIC driver verification and dispute resolution.
• Influence sign-off criteria, testability improvements, and debugging capabilities.
• Lead hiring and grow the team, raising technical standards across the org.
