Job summary

Tektronix in Boulder, CO is seeking an experienced ASIC Physical Design Engineer to work on SOC implementations and tapeouts. You will collaborate with RTL/verification, DFT, and packaging teams to ensure timing-closed, manufacturable designs across multiple centers, including Louisville and Beaverton.

You will drive floorplanning, P&R, clock-tree synthesis, routing, and signoff activities using industry-standard tools and scripting to improve methodology and efficiency.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of ASIC physical design experience.
• Hands-on experience with RTL-to-GDSII flows, including floorplanning and P&R.
• Experience with static timing analysis and multi-mode multi-corner timing verification.
• Familiarity with DRC, LVS, extraction, and signoff checks.

Responsibilities

• Execute ASIC physical design from RTL to GDSII, including floorplanning and P&R.
• Drive timing closure, optimize for power, area, and signal integrity.
• Support signoff activities (DRC, LVS, extraction, IR drop).
• Collaborate with RTL, verification, DFT, and packaging teams to deliver tapeout-ready designs.
• Develop scripts and flows to improve design methodology and automation.
