Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Senior Staff Scientist to grow our asbestos and industrial hygiene practice in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The candidate must hold CDPHE asbestos certifications and have at least five years of experience conducting inspections and overseeing remediation activities.

You will work with the Building Environmental Sciences Group Manager and Front Range team to prepare proposals, coordinate abatement oversight, and mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field and 5+ years' related experience.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• CDPHE asbestos credentials are required.
• Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects; participate in pre-task planning.
• Integrate quality leadership practices into daily regimen.
• Provide consistent quality standards on proposal and project delivery.
• Conduct site testing and make recommendations for systems design on medium-sized projects.
• Collaborate with senior scientists on large, complex projects.
• Perform site visits, field observations and data collection.
