Terracon is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead Building Environmental Sciences (BES) projects, including asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, IEQ, and radon. The role combines technical leadership with mentoring, client development, and ensuring safe, on-time, on-budget delivery.

Ideal candidate has 8+ years in environmental consulting, strong project management, and excellent communication to liaise with clients and multidisciplinary teams to improve building performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on building sciences.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Manage projects from proposal to completion, including scope, budget, schedule, quality control, and client communications.
• Serve as a senior reviewer to ensure deliverables meet regulatory requirements and Terracon quality standards.
• Develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities for BES.
• Mentor scientists and staff, promoting professional development and safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve building performance and regulatory compliance.
