Cognizant is looking for a Senior SYNON/AS400 Developer to design, develop, and support business-critical applications in an AS400 environment. You will collaborate with analysts, technical leads, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver robust solutions across the software lifecycle.

This remote role is open to qualified applicants in Richardson, TX. Cognizant emphasizes work-life balance and provides flexibility where possible; in-person interviews may be required depending on project needs.

Qualifikationen

• Strong experience in AS400/IBM i development environments.
• Proficiency with RPGLE and RPGILE programming.
• Expertise in CLLE development and system-level programming.
• Experience developing and maintaining SYNON-based applications.
• Comfort with full SDLC including deployment and production support.

Aufgaben

• Partner with analysts and leads to clarify requirements and define technical solutions.
• Analyze business needs and prepare designs, estimates, and development plans.
• Develop and enhance applications using AS400 technologies (RPGLE, RPGILE, CLLE, SYNON).
• Create and execute unit tests, resolve defects, and support QA/regression testing.
• Support deployments, releases, and post-implementation activities.
