The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of relevant experience, a solid media network, and a track record in writing and story development.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in arts communications, agency or cultural nonprofit preferred.
• Strong media contacts in NYC/metro area and nationally.
• Experience drafting and pitching culture stories; op-eds or first-person essays.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts for arts and culture clients.
• Provide strategic communications counsel.
• Craft and execute multi-channel PR plans to drive attendance, fundraising and thought leadership.
• Collaborate with teams on earned and owned media strategies.
