Job summary

DEPT® is seeking a Senior, Art Direction to lead visual development for high-profile client campaigns across social, digital, video, and emerging platforms. This hands-on role blends conceptual thinking with craft, partnering with Copywriters, Motion Designers, and strategic leaders to translate business goals into impactful creative.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in visual design for digital campaigns, social-first content, and video-driven work.
• Prior social agency experience or relevant experience with high-visibility accounts.
• On-set and content production experience with video directors, editors, and producers.
• Strong client presentation and communication skills; ability to present ideas and advocate for great creative.
• Excellent design sensibility and a strategic eye for layout, typography, motion, and branding; deep knowledge of social best practices.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset; contribute energy to brainstorms and support teammates with generosity and respect.
• A portfolio showing design range across digital, video, and ability to translate strategy into scroll-stopping creative.

Responsibilities

• Develop visual concepts and creative territories across social, digital, video, experiential, and emerging platforms.
• Collaborate with Copywriters, Strategists, Motion, Visual Design, and Creative leadership to craft integrated campaign ideas and experiences.
• Lead visual storytelling from concept through production and delivery.
• Contribute to pre-production planning, production, and post-production to maintain creative intent.
• Partner with Generative AI Artists to explore AI-assisted visual development and workflows.
• Present work clearly to internal teams and clients, explaining visual decisions.
• Mentor and support Associate Art Directors to elevate thinking and execution across the team.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while upholding high creative standards.
• Stay connected to culture, design, technology, and trends to push the work forward.
