Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City is seeking a Sr Assoc, Area Scheduling to lead and coordinate production schedules across multiple projects. You will apply capacity planning, work with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and quality control to optimize throughput and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities include daily/weekly schedule reviews, identifying bottlenecks, developing contingency plans, and presenting scheduling metrics to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of experience; in lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills with data analysis and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules for assigned areas ensuring alignment with overall project timelines.
• Optimize schedules to achieve maximum efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, procurement, and quality control to ensure schedule adherence.
• Communicate schedule updates and changes effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in daily/weekly production meetings to review schedule progress and adjust as necessary.
• Allocate resources efficiently to meet production targets and address bottlenecks or constraints.
• Identify and address scheduling conflicts, delays, or disruptions promptly.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure continuity of operations.
• Analyze production data to track performance against schedules and identify areas for improvement.
• Generate and present regular reports on scheduling metrics, including on-time delivery, production efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Evaluate and improve scheduling processes and systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.
