The Church News in Salt Lake City seeks an Area Communications & Publishing Director to lead the area’s messaging and publishing work, reporting to the Director for Temporal Affairs. This senior role directs managers and teams, aligning local initiatives with global guidance to strengthen audience understanding and trust.

You will develop campaigns, manage relationships with leaders and media, and ensure doctrinal and IP compliance while coordinating with HR on staffing and budgeting.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, PR or communications.
• 7 years of professional-level experience; total 11 years may be considered.
• Proven people-management experience with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Strong leadership, collaboration and organizational development skills.
• Experience in strategic communication planning and audience understanding.
• Excellent writing and editing abilities; capable of conveying complex ideas clearly.

• Develop internal and external campaigns and unified messaging.
• Build strategic relationships with government, interfaith and community leaders.
• Oversee branding, reputation, and doctrinal alignment within the area.
