Job summary

The Cigna Group is hiring an Architecture Senior Advisor in Raleigh, NC to build and maintain the architectural runway and technical foundation for delivering initiatives across product delivery teams.

You will lead system architecture, mentor teams, and contribute to roadmaps across multiple systems, ensuring standards and performance. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in software or IT architecture, with a hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, IT Analyst or related occupation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the continuous technical exploration process as part of the continuous delivery pipeline, including enabling Epics, defining subsystems and their interfaces, allocating responsibilities to subsystems, understanding solution deployment, and communicating requirements for interactions with solution context.
• Deliver and review System Architecture (SA) solutions for a specific application or a group of applications.
• Provide technical expertise through a hands‑on mentoring approach to teams and projects, developing capabilities via the use of new technology and products, and maintaining a deep level of involvement with the agile development teams.
• Contribute to the Company’s application roadmaps, and support enterprise architecture product and capability roadmaps, which impacts across a group of systems and products.
• Support engineering and delivery teams in building and maintaining applications conformant to standards, architectures, and technologies.
• Support sizing efforts within the application domain assigned and provide leadership to organize and facilitate sizing efforts provided by the team, helping to ensure end‑to‑end solutions meet the business need.
• Present solutions, logical design direction, or technology recommendation to relevant stakeholders.
• Support performance volume stress testing for applications.
• Assist in creating and maintaining best practices, deliverables, and processes for the System Architecture team.
• Ensure solutions fit within project schedules and costs and provide optionality if necessary.
