Job summary

ZGF Architects LLP is seeking a seasoned Specifications Writer to join our Seattle team. The role requires at least 10 years of experience and a strong background in architecture, construction administration, and master specifications systems.

You will edit and develop technical specification sections, collaborate with product representatives, and support the project team to meet design, schedule, and budget objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Professional degree in architecture or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in architecture or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong spelling and grammar.
• Experience in Construction Administration for large-scale, complex projects.
• Proficiency with Spec writing software (RIB SpecLink Cloud) and master specifications.

Responsibilities

• Edit and maintain project specifications per established procedures.
• Review, edit, and create technical specification sections.
• Develop written requirements for products, procedures, and standards for complex projects.
• Assist staff with product research and RFI/submittal responses.
• Collaborate with design teams and product reps to resolve project goals.
