Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Program Manager (Architecture) in the Arlington, VA area to lead complex architecture projects from development through close-out. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, and maintain client relations to deliver high-quality spaces on schedule.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Architecture, 10 years related experience, and at least 5 years of project management with registered architect status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture required.
• 10 years related experience in architecture or design projects.
• Minimum 5 years project management experience and team leadership.
• Registered Architect status required.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage budgets.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
• Strong knowledge of local and regional market and client relations.
• Commitment to mentoring and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary teams through project lifecycle.
• Lead complex architecture projects with technical and non-technical aspects.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and maintain schedules.
• Maintain client relations and participate in marketing and meetings.
• Oversee deliverables, staffing, and workload, ensuring on-time completion.
• Track financial performance and manage project profitability.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and mentor junior staff.
