Job summary
AlphaHire is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Millwork Engineer to lead the engineering of luxury millwork projects from concept through production. You will convert architectural designs, field measurements, and client requirements into production-ready drawings and fabrication packages for efficient fabrication, assembly, and installation.
This role offers technical leadership, mentoring of CAD staff, and shaping engineering standards across high-end residential interiors.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in architectural millwork engineering, millwork drafting, or technical design.
- Strong background in luxury residential construction or premium interiors.
- Extensive experience producing production-ready shop drawings and fabrication documents.
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering and technical development of custom millwork from design through fabrication and installation.
- Create, review, and approve detailed shop and production drawings, BOMs, and fabrication docs.
- Translate plans, concepts, specs, and field measurements into accurate manufacturing drawings.
- Engineer cabinetry, closets, countertops, paneling, and other millwork components.
- Collaborate with PMs, designers, estimators, CNC programmers, and production teams.
- Mentor CAD designers and junior engineers; improve engineering standards and workflows.
