Job summary

BL Companies, Inc. is seeking an Architectural Designer to support production of technical designs and construction documents. You will collaborate closely with MEP and structural teams to ensure project accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in commercial architecture, strong Revit skills, and excellent technical writing and communication. The position offers hybrid work, competitive benefits, and potential ESOP involvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial architecture project production.
• Proficiency in Revit and construction documentation.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed construction documents based on templates and project requirements.
• Develop and integrate construction details for metal stud, masonry, and steel.
• Ensure designs comply with codes across jurisdictions.
• Lead space planning and schematic design to meet client specs and budget.
• Coordinate MEP and structural elements with architectural designs.
• Revise documents per QC feedback, client updates, and jurisdictional changes.
• Assist construction administration, including reviewing shop drawings and RFIs.
• Mentor junior staff with technical guidance and professional development.
