Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in Washington, DC is seeking highly qualified architects to join our design studio. The ideal candidate will lead design development, construction documentation, and administration, while mentoring junior staff and supporting client development.

The position requires an Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture, Top Secret or Secret clearance, 11–15 years of experience, U.S. citizenship, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
• 11–15 years of relevant architectural experience.
• U.S. Citizen with valid U.S. Passport; ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• Proficient with Federal/DoD design standards, construction documentation and detailing.

Responsibilities

• Lead phases of architectural projects from design development through construction administration.
• Collaborate in fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams with in-house and external consultants.
• Manage project scope, budget, and schedule under guidance of senior architects.
• Contribute to project design through sketches, 3D modeling, and development of creative, practical solutions.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies for successful project delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development through proposals and presentations.
