Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership for Trailblazer Identity, a large-scale B2C identity platform powering Salesforce experiences across multiple digital properties.

You will architect and implement secure, scalable backend services, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, security, and architecture teams. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on coding in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development in production systems.
• Experience leading architecture and delivery of complex distributed systems.
• Hands-on coding with microservices, APIs, and cloud-native patterns.
• Experience with AWS and serverless/event-driven architectures.
• Security best practices and secure API design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and evolution of large-scale backend platform services.
• Provide technical leadership for Trailblazer Identity services.
• Translate product requirements into clear architectures and strategies.
• Evaluate alternatives for scale, reliability, security, and performance.
• Remain hands-on with design, implementation, and code reviews.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering standards across the team.
• Design APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven data flows.
• Champion CI/CD, observability, and security practices.
• Identify risks and drive pragmatic solutions across teams.
• Adopt AI-assisted tooling to improve productivity and delivery.
