Job summary

Marvel Refrigeration in Greenville, MI is seeking a Staff / Lead Engineer to act as the primary technical integrator and system architect for refrigeration platforms, setting engineering standards and verification strategies for quality, performance, and field reliability across Marvel, U-Line, and Viking brands.

The role provides top-level technical leadership for architecture, reliability, supplier strategy, and manufacturing integration from concept through production, while mentoring

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical leadership in thermal systems, HVAC-R, or refrigeration development.

Responsibilities

• Establish multi-year platform architectures and technical roadmaps for refrigeration systems, with emphasis on performance efficiency, system robustness, lower-impact refrigerants, and simplified assembly.
• Author comprehensive system-level V&V strategies and oversee advanced testing matrices that stress components under extreme environmental conditions.
• Set standards for DFSS, DFM, DFA, DFMEA, and 3D tolerance stack-up processes. Drive strategic BOM structures and master routing design within ERP systems.
• Lead executive-level root-cause investigations for complex, systemic failure modes, and implement permanent countermeasures.
• Partner with Procurement, Quality, and Supplier Development Engineering to evaluate strategic components such as compressors, heat exchangers, and controls and to optimize capital-tooling capability.
• Serve as the top technical authority in Technical Design Reviews, mentor senior engineers, and drive continuous improvement across the engineering organization.
