Job summary

Placer County’s Capital Improvements Division is seeking a Senior Architect to support project managementStaff and to plan and administer facilities projects. The role oversees architectural design and construction management for projects ranging from $50,000 to over $50 million, with an advanced level of responsibility and potential staff supervision.

The position requires strong communication, organization, and detail orientation, and may involve supervising staff and coordinating consultants

Qualifications

• Three years as a licensed professional architect.
• Possession of an Architect License issued by the California Architects Board.
• International Degrees: if earned outside the United States, provide proof of accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Direct, monitor, and oversee the work of division staff project teams, including professional level architects, senior project managers, technical and clerical staff.
• Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise and review the work of assigned staff.
• Prepare design and construction drawings and specifications for new construction or alterations; prepare general layout and perspective drawings.
