Weston & Sampson in Rhinebeck, NY seeks a Senior Architectural Project Manager with 16+ years’ experience to lead design projects within the Facility group. You’ll manage multi-disciplinary teams, drive from programming through construction administration, and expand the project base through client engagement and proposals.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of substantial experience as a productive member of a project design team with strong technical and Revit skills.
• K-12 and educational project experience desired.
• Ability to function with consultants, contractors and facilities project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage architectural design projects for the Facility group’s clients and support other engineering groups.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams from programming to construction administration.
• Develop business by responding to requests and proposals and by meeting clients.
• Lead the project through budgeting and permitting processes, including coordinating with estimators and public hearings.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of the Architectural practice.

Salary Range: $145,000.00 To $155,000.00 Annually

Weston and Sampson is seeking Senior Architectural Project Managers with 16+ years’ experience for our Rhinebeck, NY office.

What you’ll do:

• Work will include management of architectural design projects for the Facility group’s clients, supporting the company’s other engineering discipline groups, and participating and contributing to the expansion of the Facility group’s growing project base.
• Lead and support multi-disciplinary project teams in the planning and design of new and renovated facilities. Work includes programming and conceptual planning through construction document preparation and construction administration.
• Network with new and existing clients by responding via direct requests and/or proposals
• Conduct business development including writing proposals, meeting with clients, and preparing details scopes of work.
• Work directly with clients to establish project and programming needs.
• Support projects through budgeting and permitting processes, including working with estimators to prepare construction and project costs, leading the project through permitting agencies and committees, and assisting the client in acquiring funding through public hearings and meetings.
• Participate in professional organizations and internal committees and/or groups.
• Collaborate and build strong working relationships with internal multi-disciplinary teams.
• Mentor and guide the development of junior staff and participate in the growth our Architectural practice.

What you’ll bring:

• 16+ years of substantial experience as a productive member of a project design team with strong technical and Revit skills.
• K-12 and educational project experience desired.
• Ability to function comfortably, gain trust, con fi dence and deal effectively with a wide range of individuals including consultants, contractors and facilities project team members
• Proven ability to function in all phases of project development from schematic design through contract administration
• REVIT/BIM fluency is mandatory, working experience with AutoCAD desirable
• Strong construction experience and knowledge of architectural technical detailing.
• Thorough knowledge of building codes
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills .
• Ability to lead a project team and guide production of construction documents, including coordination with internal and external engineering disciplines.
• Professional degree required .
• Valid drivers license.
