Job summary

Spacesmith is seeking an Senior Architectural Designer to work with our New York City team. We are looking for designers interested in delivering a heightened level of service and a passion for design excellence.

We are guided by principles of open collaboration, social relevance, sustainability, and community engagement. The position will require the ability to be self motivated to work independently in collaboration with professionals in our New York office, with flexible and hybrid work

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience across programming, design, ADA and building code review, MEP coordination, permitting, technical drawings and detailing, FFE selection, submittal and RFI review, and project closeout.
• Minimum of 4 years professional experience working with Revit and BIM 360.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suites, Bluebeam and other necessary technical tools for the projects.
• Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• Experience with workplace and / or retail projects a plus.
• Experience with large scale, adaptive reuse projects for government agencies a plus.
• Experience with sustainability frameworks and professional accreditations such as LEED, WELL, PHIUS, and LBC preferred.
