Job summary

Windval Technology Solutions LLC in Chicago seeks a Lead Architect, the most senior technical practitioner. The role demands deep technical expertise and a hands-on approach, influencing complex enterprise environments across infrastructure, data, security, and AI.

You will own end-to-end solution architecture, work directly with client engineers, mentor delivery teams, and ensure designs are implemented and proven in production while shaping roadmaps and technical standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise IT with hands-on implementation experience.
• Expertise in at least two areas: infrastructure/ops, network, cloud/migration.
• Able to work directly in the environment — CLI, console, IaC, scripting, logs.
• Proven ability to influence senior client stakeholders without formal authority.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as engagements require.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for modern infrastructure.
• Understand unfamiliar client environments and derive accurate designs.
• Collaborate with delivery teams on proofs of concept, migrations, tests.
• Be escalation point for the toughest technical problems.
• Own cutover planning and post-go-live stabilization.
• Set technical standards and review work; mentor consultants.
• Develop reusable patterns and reference implementations.
• Partner with sales and delivery leadership on technical approach and risk.
• Act as trusted technical advisor to CIOs/CISOs and senior sponsors.
