Planate Management Group seeks a Senior Architect/Engineer to lead construction oversight for a VA project in Florida. You will ensure delivery meets quality, cost, and schedule while advising government stakeholders on design and construction aspects.

The role requires licensure in Florida, extensive experience, and a strong grasp of VA standards, FAR, NFPA, and OSHA. This is a full-time, on-site position with a one-year contract and options for extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or 14 years related experience.
• Florida license as Architect or Engineer.
• At least 10 years overseeing large-scale construction projects.
• Experience with chiller plants in federal/healthcare settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, scheduling, and cost management.
• Familiarity with VA standards, FAR, NFPA, and OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction oversight, inspection and QA activities.
• Review design documents, submittals and change orders.
• Monitor schedule and cost; propose corrective actions.
• Prepare progress and inspection reports and construction docs.
• Coordinate with contractors and government representatives.
• Support budgeting and financial tracking of activities.
• Lead meetings and maintain communication logs.
• Ensure compliance with VA, FAR, NFPA, and OSHA.
• Mentor team members and provide senior guidance.
