Job summary

Primary Recruiting Services in Richmond, VA is seeking a Senior Architect to lead construction-phase services across concurrent projects, oversee site observations, RFIs and coordination with consultants. The role requires a professional architecture degree and licensure or near completion, with strong Revit and PM capabilities.

This hybrid position offers two work-from-home days weekly, a path for career advancement to Associate/Principal, and a competitive package with bonuses and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Candidate must hold a professional degree in architecture and be licensed or on track for licensure.
• 8–12+ years of professional architectural experience with strong PM, technical delivery and construction administration.
• Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with Newforma and Microsoft Teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, specifications and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Construction Administration & Site Leadership: oversee construction-phase services, site observations, meetings, submittals and RFIs.
• Technical Oversight & Quality Control: evaluate shop drawings, material samples and proposed changes for design intent and code compliance.
• Stakeholder & Consultant Coordination: collaborate with clients, contractors and consultants to resolve issues and ensure coordination.
• Team Mentorship: provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and design teams.

• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• Current Registered Architect license or close to completion.
• 8-12+ years of professional architectural experience, with a strong background in project management, technical delivery, and construction administration.
• Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with project management platforms such as Newforma and Microsoft Teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, specifications, and regulatory compliance.
