Job summary

Interliance Consulting (NV), Inc. seeks a Senior Architect for residential remodeling in Itasca, IL.

The role leads architectural design, coordinates with designers, PMs, estimators, and construction teams to ensure high-quality remodeling outcomes across the Chicagoland area. You will develop permit-ready drawings using Revit or Chief Architect, ensure compliance with codes, and maintain organized project documentation while guiding clients from initial concept through project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (minimum four-year Architecture degree required).
• Minimum of 7 years of architectural drafting experience, with a strong emphasis on residential remodeling and renovation.
• Experience with Revit and/or Chief Architect.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, detailing, and building codes.
• Experience meeting directly with clients and collaborating with internal project teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects while staying organized and focused.

Responsibilities

Key Impact Areas

Lead Architectural Design & Documentation

• Develop architectural plans, construction drawings, and permit-ready documentation for residential remodeling projects.
• Produce accurate floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction documents.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
• Review drawings for quality, constructability, and completion.

Client Collaboration

• Meet with homeowners to understand their goals, project vision, and budget.
• Present design concepts, review plans, and incorporate client feedback throughout the design process.
• Provide exceptional communication and guidance from initial consultation through project completion.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with designers, project managers, estimators, and construction personnel to ensure successful project execution.
• Participate in internal design reviews and planning meetings.
• Provide architectural support throughout construction as needed.

Project Management

• Manage multiple residential projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Coordinate project schedules and design deliverables.
• Proactively identify and resolve design challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Responsibilities

• Create and revise architectural drawings using Revit, Chief Architect, or similar drafting software.
• Develop detailed remodeling plans that accurately reflect existing conditions and proposed improvements.
• Maintain organized project documentation and drawing revisions.
