This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial architect to join our team. We are seeking a licensed architect with 5 to 10 years of experience in custom residential architecture. You will manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring design integrity, coordination, and construction quality.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and the internal design team to create beautiful, functional, and innovative residential designs.
• Oversee projects from schematic design through construction, ensuring that the design vision is maintained throughout all phases.
• Prepare comprehensive and detailed construction documents, including drawings, renderings, specifications, and other materials necessary for the construction process.
• Assist with selection of plumbing fixtures, mirrors and bath accessories, cabinetry, countertop materials, tile materials, tile layout and grout colors, and light fixtures.
• Provide technical expertise in construction materials and techniques, ensuring high‑quality outcomes.
• Maintain excellent communication and represent the firm well with all team members, clients, and contractors to facilitate smooth project execution.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in custom high‑end residential architecture.
• In‑depth knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and local building codes, with the ability to produce detailed and accurate construction documents.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Experience managing projects from start to finish, overseeing all aspects of design, documentation, and construction.
• Must be licensed in Illinois, have professional liability insurance (or be able to get), and authorized to work in the U.S.
