This role is based remotely, but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Warren, MI Innovation Center or Austin, TX Innovation Center, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum. This job may be eligible for relocation.
As part of the larger MarTech Strategy and Solutions team, the Senior MarTech Solutions Architect is a key leader focused on enabling the design, development, and deployment of modern marketing capabilities at General Motors. This role sits at the intersection of marketing strategy and technology, leading the future direction and design of platforms that leverage cutting-edge technology to create personalized, relevant, data-driven experiences using our Marketing Technology stack, including Customer Data Platforms (CDP), Personalization engines, Campaign Management tools (email, SMS, push notifications, in-vehicle notifications), AdTech, and more.
This role requires a self-starter with deep expertise in marketing technology, especially Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Orchestration, and Adobe Campaign, along with experience in data capture and architecture that enable these platforms. We seek a creative problem solver and collaborator who can establish a clear vision and work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to realize that vision. A proven track record in designing and building marketing technology tools across the full MarTech solution space (personalization, media activation, email campaign management, CMS, AdTech, identity resolution, etc.) is essential.
Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the solution design of Adobe AEP and Campaign tools—AJO, CJO, ACC, etc.—aligned with specific business objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business strategies and requirements, translating them into technical roadmaps and designs.
- Configure and set up Adobe Experience Platform and Campaign based on industry best practices.
- Develop multi-year roadmaps in partnership with Product Management and Engineering to meet business and platform objectives.
- Develop and implement data models, schemas, workflows within Adobe AEP and Real-time CDP, and integrate Adobe AEP with other Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions and third-party systems as needed.
- Design data integration strategies to ensure seamless data flow and define data quality standards within Adobe AEP and Campaign.
- Ensure solutions adhere to data security, privacy, and compliance standards, including GDPR and CCPA, with monitoring in place.
- Conform solutions to architectural requirements such as scalability, maintainability, reliability, extensibility, usability, and security.
- Engage with Adobe representatives and partners to stay updated on platform enhancements, evaluating and recommending add-ons and extensions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective implementation.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and training to team members on Adobe AEP and Campaign best practices.

Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in architecting and implementing digital marketing solutions in large corporate environments.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) with Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Campaign, including on-premises and cloud architectures.
- Proficiency in Adobe Experience Platform, Real-time CDP, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Journey Optimizer, and bonus experience with Adobe Target, Customer Journey Analytics, SQL, scripting, and data manipulation.
- Strong knowledge of software development principles, methodologies, and Agile practices.
- Expertise in designing scalable, distributed systems and system integration patterns (JSON, REST, SOAP, APIs).
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and modeling tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant Adobe certifications (e.g., Adobe Certified Expert) are a plus.
