Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Senior Archaeologist to lead complex projects, ensure CRM compliance, and mentor field and staff. You will oversee permits, timelines, and budgets while maintaining high safety and quality standards for diverse clients.

The role requires a graduate degree in Archaeology/Anthropology and 15+ years of experience, with SOI qualification and Authorized Project Reviewer status. Expect active client engagement and opportunities to shape strategic CRM solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in archaeology/related field.
• SOI qualification required.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide archaeological services for diverse projects and clients.
• Lead safety efforts and model a safe work environment.
• Promote ongoing quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
• Act as Principal Archaeologist guiding projects and staff.
• Oversee permits, risk, timeline and budget.
• Lead complex projects with innovative investigation techniques.
• Prepare written reports and treatment plans with recommendations.
• Develop and update technical policies/procedures.
• Provide technical direction and training to staff.
• Support business development and client presentations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal CRM requirements.
• Participate in the Archaeology PRG and professional organizations.
