What's the Opportunity?
Anchor QEA is seeking a full-time Senior Archaeologist in Seattle, Washington. The position will require regular archaeological field work and may also require some travel to participate in client meetings, public meetings, and stakeholder work groups. The successful candidate will have more than 8 years of experience conducting archaeological monitoring and investigations, as well as be responsible for preparing and implementing cultural resources planning and compliance documents for archaeological surveys, monitoring, inadvertent discovery plans, impact analysis and mitigation.
The successful candidate will report to the principal planner directing the cultural resources team and will collaborate with other senior cultural resources staff to complete archaeological work across a variety of landscapes and project types. Project assignments are highly variable and dynamic supporting public agencies, private companies, tribal organizations, and non-profit organizations in support of infrastructure development, environmental remediation, restoration, and climate resiliency. We are interested in a candidate who is collaborative, detail-orientated, and a team player with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
