Job summary

Eriez Manufacturing Co. is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage invoicing, payments, collections and account maintenance. You will ensure accurate billing and timely cash collection while collaborating with Sales, Customer Service and Operations in the order-to-cash process.

You will report to the Supervisor - Credit and Collections and contribute to process improvements, accuracy, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• Knowledge of accounts receivable processes including invoicing, cash application, collections, and tax documentation.
• Experience using ERP systems, banking platforms, customer billing portals, and Microsoft Office especially Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to research discrepancies and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Apply customer payments by ACH, wire, check, and credit card to invoices and accounts.
• Process, reconcile, and deposit customer payments using banking platforms and approved systems.
• Maintain accurate payment records and support month-end reconciliation.
• Review shipments, billing info, freight, tax treatment, and customer requirements for accurate invoices.
• Monitor online billing activity, invoice rejections, and follow up on open items with customers and internal teams.
• Create and maintain progress, rental, and retention billings per contract milestones.
• Review and maintain customer accounts, tax classifications, exempt status, and sales tax credits.
• Document collection activity and communicate past-due balances and holds to customers.
