Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience with insurance billing and processing claims preferred.
• 3 years’ experience with Medicare claims and verification preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance portals; familiarity with medical/insurance terms.
• Full knowledge of collections specialization preferred.
• Proficiency in basic math and business calculations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for AR billing, regulations, payer requirements, and claims resolution.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and technical support to AR Representatives.
• Escalate complex billing, claims, payer, and account issues.
• Monitor team performance with Supervisor; support improvements and initiatives.
• Mentor team members with coaching and training; ensure adherence to processes.
• Document performance observations and assist with personnel-related matters.
• Lead or coordinate departmental escalation projects for high-priority accounts.
• Investigate and resolve complex insurance claims including denials and appeals.
