Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to be a crucial member of the project core team, acting as the voice of the customer for quality topics within LEANPD/NPD. You will oversee quality from design through production release and customer PPAP approval, ensuring readiness and smooth transfer to manufacturing quality.

The role requires 8+ years in Quality Engineering, strong APQP/PPAP knowledge, and expertise in FMEA, MSA, SPC, and related tools.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with involvement in NPI/APQP for regulated products.
• Knowledge of APQP activities and industry standards (AS9100, ISO13485, ISO22163).
• Proficient in 8D problem solving and risk management.
• Experience with APQP/PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA tools.
• Internal systems auditing experience.
• Familiarity with software for FMEA and Control Plans (APIS IQ-RM Pro preferred).
• Experience with Minitab or similar statistical software.
• Certified Six Sigma Black or Green Belt.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project quality goals without direct authority.
• Ensure ITAR/export controls compliance in all quality activities.
• Facilitate design reviews and ensure robust control plans and measurements.
• Drive 8D problem solving and coordinate FMEA moderation.
• Manage Quality planning, documentation, and customer submissions for launches.
• Support APQP activities and ensure readiness for production release.
• Monitor KPIs and drive process improvements across projects.
