Job summary

County of San Mateo Aging and Disability Services Division is seeking leaders for the Social Work Supervisor role. The supervisor will oversee quality improvement for Adult Protective Services, conduct OSRI reviews, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Travel to interview and assess cases is anticipated. Ideal candidate will bring strong assessment, APS knowledge, and the ability to train staff while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience performing a full range of professional social worker duties, and at least six (6) months of lead experience; or a Master’s degree in Social Work with internship, AND one (1) additional year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative case reviews and OSRI assessments following CDSS guidelines.
• Lead CQI projects to improve service delivery and client outcomes.
• Train and mentor new social workers in case review and QA practices.
• Plan, direct, supervise, review, and evaluate work of assigned social workers and related staff.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and monitor effectiveness.
