Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work preferred for Social Worker III positions in APS.
• Three years of social work experience, two years equivalent to Social Worker II in Santa Clara County.
• Valid California driver's license prior to appointment and County Driver's permit eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Receives assignments requiring specialized and/or intensive casework with emotional difficulties and chronic adjustment problems.
• Investigates abuse and neglect of dependent and elder adults and minors when assigned to APS/DFCS.
• Manages a caseload accountably and develops complete treatment plans.
