Job summary

Camunda is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer (AppSec) to join a small, senior, collaborative InfoSec team. The role is developer-centric and hands-on, focusing on secure Java services, CI/CD in a SaaS environment, and strengthening AppSec tooling.

You’ll partner with product and engineering teams across the SDLC and influence security posture while enabling engineering teams to ship securely. You will collaborate with Engineering, Support, and other stakeholders, perform design

Qualifications

• Strong Software engineering and secure coding background.
• Secure SDLC, architecture & risk assessment experience.
• Vulnerability management and security tooling expertise.
• Cross-team collaboration and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams throughout the SDLC to embed security by design.
• Lead and evolve AppSec tooling by integrating SAST/DAST/SCA into CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive vulnerability management and coordinate fixes with engineering teams.
• Perform secure design reviews and threat modeling for distributed/microservices systems.
• Support and coordinate application-layer security incidents and escalations.
• Assist with security audits, customer assurance, and related processes.
