Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 5 years of related engineering experience required.
• PhD or Master's degree is desirable.
• PE license is preferred.
• Broad understanding of engineering research and testing concepts and methods.
• Strong investigative and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with peers to prepare technical reports and specifications and to identify, define, and solve problems.
• Develops research strategy and roadmaps; identifies emerging technologies and translates findings into utility applications.
• Develops technical strategies for integration of data centers, distributed energy resources, microgrids, flexible loads, and load-management technologies.
• Evaluates impacts of emerging data center loads on transmission and distribution systems.
• Leads publications, standards development, industry collaboration, and conference participation.
• Performs lead role in determining scope, schedule, budget and resources; prepares cost estimates for client bids.
• Interfaces with clients to report status and collect information to meet project expectations.
