Job summary

Amazon Prime Video is seeking a technologist to own the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art video experiences across devices.

The role involves research into deep learning models for video quality, training architectures, deployment, and collaboration with Research Scientists to maximize the customer experience under varying network conditions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience.
• PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Create ground-truth datasets and new video diffusion model architectures with training methodologies.
• Ensure temporal consistency, preservation of creative intent, and perceptual quality.
• Optimize and deploy models in production workflow and define/measure at-scale success criteria.
• Collaborate with research scientists and publish novel approaches in tier-1 conferences.
• Develop SVQ models that correlate highly with subjective ratings and quantify improvements.
